General character creation process
This sketch is for a challenge on instagram, where artists draw their characters as if they were on a fashion magazine cover. I also wanted to get better at drawing child proportions.
There were two different outfits I had in mind, but I felt the overalls showed off the pose better, and matched the character well.
I needed a simple reference sheet of my character Kaoru for future comics and art. I am currently working on adding a turnaround to it.
This image of my character Andromeda was made during an attempted month long drawing challenge. The goal was to make the character recognizable, even without her typical everyday clothes on.
